I’m heading back to Madrid on Sunday and I’m pretty excited about it. I’m happy to get back and relax. Again, I don’t know how to explain it – but it does feel that even though I do more over there I’m definitely more relaxed.
On the bolt bus back from visiting family and again the idea came up about trying to figure out if New York is the best place for me. And, of course, the question of if when I come back to the states in August is permanent.
Here’s what I know. I know that I can’t live without Madrid in my life. I’ve created a life out there that, well, I love. So here’s the plan. I leave for Madrid Sunday and I get back in the end of July. I’ll be back stateside from July to xxxx. The xxxx is sometime in February, maybe. March …. Not sure, thinking maybe Spring/Summer.
Reason for the long trip back the next time is to travel through the U.S.A and figure out where the heck I want to live. There are so many places in the U.S. that I’ve never been to. So who knows, maybe there’s a city out there that offers all that Madrid does. So I’m going to take some time to go state-to-state. I need to come up with a list of places I should try out and then start getting the itinerary together. Thoughts? Any places you’d recommend are welcome.
It’s amazing how you have so many options when it comes to where you could live in the world. So I guess I’m still trying to figure out if I can find a place like Madrid in the U.S. I’d be quite happy to stay in the states longer, or if I can build a platform in New York like I have in Madrid then maybe it would make sense for me to stay. But I’m struggling with why New York?
