Organize The Overwhelm

We always have a lot going on. And I’m not just talking about the big chunks we can easily spot like work, family, school, romance, friendships.

These big chunks normally float around us and although they exist separately, what we end up doing most of the time is tying them all together. We take these individual chunks and push them together like we would different colors of play dough.

By doing this though we overwhelm ourselves with EVERYTHING.

Everything is important.

Everything has to be thought of now.

Everything needs to be done now.

But what if we let these big chunks live on their own?

What if we wrapped them up individually like presents and opened them only when we needed to be there with them in that moment?

I’ve found that the more I live with all the big chunks hammering away at me at one time I’m more overwhelmed, tired, and less likely to be their for others in the way I want to; my time seems limited.

Limited because there’s no space to breathe.

What would your life feel like or look like if you put some space around your big chunks?
