Mindfulness and Meditation are words that are often used nowadays. But what are they, how can they help us live successfully with internal peace and harmony, and how do we begin to apply these practices to our lives? In this introductory workshop we will give an overview of what it actually means to be mindful, how it benefits day to day living, and above all some rudimentary tools to practice mindfulness. At the end of the workshop you will have a good idea of what these concepts are and may begin to apply them to your life.
In the Fall, Washington Yoga Center plans to offer regular sessions in which the concepts will be delved in depth and skills developed to live mindfully through various forms of meditation. So, this workshop is a prelude to what is to come. No knowledge of mindfulness or meditation is required to start the program.
